Name that cactus!

So the weekend is over and it's time to VOTE! Thanks again to everyone who suggested names for the cactus. If your suggestion isn't on the shortlist I'm really sorry, but please don't let that stop you from voting!

Without any further ado, the final list of potential names is:

  • Leroy
  • Norbert
  • Gulliver
  • Edmund
  • Reuben McGarrige

I'm putting a poll up now and it'll be there until Friday, so please vote for your favourite!

And why am I putting so much effort into voting for a cactus? I've been looking at the names for ten minutes, trying to decide.

It's so hard because the suggestions were awesome! You should have seen us sitting in the lab fighting over the 20-odd suggestions so that our favouites wold end up on the poll!

I so did not vote for my own name. Ok I lie. I voted for my own name. Is I a baaaad person?

Po: of course not! Although I woke up yesterday morning desperate to call it Norbert... any idea why?

I of course being one of those that suggested Leroy like that one but I had to vote for Gulliver :P Sounds like a good name for a cactus. Norbert was okay too and Edmund just makes me think of the Chronicles of Narnia and the last one makes me think of that movie with the guy named McLovin...I have an odd thought process

this is a cactus tht deserves a name and a surname and must be referred to as mr (insert my obvious choice here) and voila!

thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog, i make a point of returning the favour:)

Gulliver! Gulliver! Gulliver!

Gulliver the travelling cactus, of course.

I voted for Reuben mainly because I have a crush on a guy with the name.

Awww, i missed my chance to nominate a name :( I used to have a cactus named "Sir Lance-alot" and one names "spike" - so i would have suggested those.

From the list I choose - Gulliver :)

awww, Sir Lance-alot is a cool name! Thanks for voting anyway!
