Books

I’ve spent the last gazillion public holidays housesitting (my brother has a bull terrier that needs a lot of attention and a fair amount of discipline, but she is very cute) and rediscovering my love of reading.'

Everything from epic fantasy westerns:

To straight fantasy (because we were watching the series the other day):

to non-fiction:

to just plain ridiculous:

Ness and I were talking about our need for some mindless chick-lit and she lent me this:

And after about two days I was able to stop crying.

What have you been reading?

Don't worry, it wasn't nearly as bad as that time I watched 'My Dog Skip'...

My BFG read the Dark Tower. You know what you are getting yourself into right?! He read 6 and half and was so infuriated by the 7th that he gave up and read the wiki instead. LOL. Good luck to you!

I've just finished number 5. I find they tend to annoy me until the last 50 pages and then I need to know what happens next. rumour has it they'remaking movie, so that should make things easier!

That Wiseman one looks awesome! :D

I have finally finished 'Minutes of the Lazarus Club'! It only took me a year and a half...

Yes, that last one is not actually such mindless chick lit. Also bawled.

I've read a couple of books over the holidays too... The Sex Life of My Aunt by Mavis Cheek; Bodily Harm by Margaret Atwood; and Helen of Troy by Margaret George.
